Korey Hall
The Green Bay Packers selected Korey Hall with the first of their two sixth round draft picks in the 2007 NFL draft. A standout linebacker for four years at Boise State University, the Packers will seek to transition Hall to the fullback position to challenge William Henderson for a starting job. Hall won or was considered for nearly every accolade possible for a linebacker in his four years at Boise State. His freshman year he was an named All-Western Athletic Conference Team honorable mention, and he was named to the first team his three final seasons. He finished his career second all-time in career tackles in the conference, and led the nation in career interceptions for linebackers. He was named WAC Defensive Player of the Year his senior year and led the Broncos to an amazing 43-42 overtime victory against the Oklahoma Sooners in the 2007 Fiesta Bowl. Hall was born in Glenns Ferry, Idaho, and attended Glenns Ferry High School, where he excelled in wrestling and played running back as well as linebacker. He graduated from Boise State with a degree in construction management. This stand out rookie started 10 games in 2007. In four other games, the wide receiver sets were the reason he didn’t come into the game on the first drive. Hall had a stand out game against the Seahawks, blocking for Grant. His hip injury kept him sidelined for the last two games of the regular season. His best game on special teams was against the Vikings on November 11th, where he managed six tackles. He had four catches for the season. In 2008, Hall stepped up his rep by playing in 11 games, starting five of them. His aid allowed for Grant’s career high rush of 1,203 yards which is the seventh highest single season rushing total in the history of the Green Bay Packers. He saw most of his playing time on special teams and had 12 tackles during this playing time. At the Minnesota game, he made big strides as he scored his first NFL career touchdown by catching a 1-yard pass from Aaron Rodgers. © 2010 GreenBayPackersTicket.net Terms of Service |
