Jordy Nelson was picked by the Green Bay Packers in the 2008 draft. He played at Kansas State prior to the draft, where he was named an All American. He also made All-Big 12 honors. He holds the single season record at Kansas State with 122 receptions.

Nelson had success as a punt returner, and surprised fans as a wide receiver. In final game of 2008, he had a 45 yard kick return. When the Packers faced Houston, he caught a pass that tied the game, and gave the Packers a chance to come back and win.

His first NFL reception was a 30 yard touchdown catch. He played in every game of that rookie season.
