More Info
Johnny Jolly is now in his fourth season as a defensive end for the Green Bay Packers. He was picked up in the 2006 NFL Draft, and has played exclusively for the Packers during his professional career. This Houston native played a strong role on the Texas A&M team during his college years. He was a starter for three years, and found himself the subject of double coverage by the time he was a junior.
Johnny Jolly played a limited amount of games his first year as a Green Bay Packer in 2006. He was active for week seven and eight, but injured in weeks nine and ten. He played six games in total that year, and the Packers were undefeated in the last four contests where he was a starter.
During his second season in 2007, Johnny Jolly began the season on the “right” foot as a right defensive tackle. He played in the first ten games of the season and started in seven of them. He continued to play the rest of the season, making great tackles in nearly every game until a shoulder injury took him out in mid November for the rest of the season.
During the 2008 season, Jolly Jolly started in each of the 16 games again as a right defensive tackle, acquiring a career-high 82 tackles. His great strength as a player showed with his endurance and drive during each game. Jolly will be coming back to play in the 2009 season with the team and looks forward to progressing as a player and helping guide the teams defense.
