Donald Lee played for Mississippi State. He left after his senior year with 61 catches.
The Miami Dolphins drafted Lee in 2003, and he went on to play in every game. He was the number two tight end that first year, and started in five games.
In 2004, he started in 10 games, and remained the number two tight end for the Dolphins. He scored one touchdown in that season, but was used mostly as a blocker.
In 2005, he was acquired by the Green Bay Packers. He had five starts, and played in 15 games. He had five teams on special teams, and scored two touchdowns on his first two catches in a Green Bay Packer uniform.
In 2006 he had two starts, and played in 15 games. He had 15 special teams tackles in that season.
In 2007, Lee moved ahead of Bubba Franks as the number one tight end. He started in 12 games, and played in 15. By november of that year, he signed a new contract with the Green Bay Packers. On the road at Minnesota, Lee was a team leader with 66 yards. His career longest play was 75 yards and it was on October 14, against the Redskins. His best game came on November 18th, where he had five receptions and two touchdowns.
In 2008, Lee started in 14 games. He was the third highest in terms receptions for the team.
