Derrick Martin came to the Green Bay Packers by way of Baltimore. He started his professional career in 2006 and saw playing time in eight games.

In 2007, he played in all 16 games for the Ravens, and started in three. By the end of the season, he totalled 17 special teams tackles.

Derrick Martin injured his shoulder in the early part of 2008. He saw no more action for the rest of the season, and was picked up by the Green Bay Packers for 2009.
