Breno Giancomini was drafted in the fifth round by the Green Bay Packers in 2008. He came from Louisville where his major was in sports administration. At the time he played collge ball at Louisville, that team ranked sixth in the country.

He saw action as a Packer in only two games for 2008. He was inactive for 14 games. He suffered an injury to his ankle which required surgery in the off season.

It is said that he improved by having to play agasint Aaron Campman during training camp and team practices.
