Alfred Malone was born in Frisco City, Alabama. Initially playing football at Georgia Tech, Malone transferred to Troy University. Following his college career, he was signed on to the Houston Texans from 2005 until 2006 where he played in two games with two tackles and half a sack when he broke a bone in his hand, ending his season. Malone joined the Green Bay Packers practice squad in 2007 and was signed in 2008. In Houston, Malone started a free football camp called “Malone for Kids”.

Malone played on the practice squad for most of the 2008 season before being signed on as an active player in the beginning of December. His first game with the Packers was against Houston and contributed three solo tackles. He played mostly for special teams the rest of the season.

Malone did not make the Packers practice squad in 2009.
