Super Bowl XLIV NFC VS AFC

By Packers tickets Paul (02/03/2010 10:13 AM)

It was great to see our Green Bay Packers in the Pro Bowl.  Aaron Rodgers threw a pair of touchdown passes, but the NFC VS AFC Pro Bowl went to the AFC this year.  It's strange to see the Pro Bowl game before the Super Bowl.  The guys already ease up on the tackles, and now we won't see any Super Bowl bound players on the roster, for fear of injury.  Alas, we have seen the last of our Green Bay Packers for 2009.

What's left is one huge game for the New Orleans Saints.  The Colts have won the big one before, so let's root for our NFC Champions.  Good luck New Orleans.

Brett Favre Repeats his NFC Championsip Performance

By www.Greenbaypackersticket.net Paul (01/27/2010 12:49 PM)

The uniform Brett Favre wore for this past year may have been purple, but the outcome of the NFC Championship game was identical to the time when he wore green and gold.  The Vikings were excited to think that they were one game away from the Super Bowl.  Vikings Tickets were in high demand for their single home playoff game.  The road to the Super Bowl went through New Orleans.  No matter, "the Vikings have the best defense and Brett Favre," the fans would declare.

When Favre could have run for five yards, setting up a long field goal for Ryan Longwell, he chose to pass across his body into double coverage.  The ball was intercepted, and all over the world Green Bay Packers fans felt a chill go down their backs.  Favre did it again.  His locker is empty, and the Favre vigil started promptly after the overtime loss to the Saints.

The 2010 Pro Bowl tickets are available now.  You don't have to fly across the Pacific Ocean this time.  The game is in Miami.

Charles Woodson Named Player of the Year for 2009

By www.greenbaypackersticket.net staff writer Paul (01/20/2010 09:28 AM)

Not only is Charles Woodson going to the Pro Bowl in Miami, he was named the Defensive Player of the year by the Sporting News.  What makes this so?  He was asked to cover the best wide receivers in the league, and had to blitz when called upon.  He ended the season with nine interceptions, forced four fumbles, two quarterback sacks, and scored three touchdowns.  He beat out former Green Bay Packers safety Darren Sharper for the title.

Green Bay Packers Wild Card game ends in Wild Fashion

By Green Bay Packers fan Paul (01/13/2010 02:13 PM)

Aaron RodgersWhen the Green Bay Packers were down by 17 points, I doubt that anyone would have expected the outcome to be decided by an overtime defensive play that involved a fumble and run back for a touchdown to end the game 51-45.  This was the highest scoring playoff game in modern history.  The Packers came back from 21 points down, recovered an onside kick, trashed the Cardinals defense, but lost a heartbreaker.  If there was any doubt that Aaron Rodgers wasn't a great quarterback, those doubts are now demolished.  Rodgers threw an interception on his first pass of the game, but went on to throw four touchdowns.

His regular season stats include 30 touchdowns and only 7 interceptions.  He passed for over 4400 yards, and was sacked 50 times.  His quarterback rating was over 103.  Aaron Rodgers will heal up those sore bones down in Miami at the NFL Pro Bowl.  He deserves the title of Pro Bowl player.  Thanks to the Green Bay Packers for an exciting season.

Cardinals Injury Update for NFC Wild Card Playoff game

By Lambeau Field Paul (01/08/2010 09:10 AM)

The Green Bay Packers will face a bruised up Cardinals team.  Rodgers-Cromartie will play with a bruised kneecap, and Campbell has a cast on his hand.  Anquon Boldin sat on the sidelines during practice, and may not play.  Still, the Packers will be up against a team that defeated the Minnesota Vikings during the regular season.
